The Wachterberg Standard: Our 10-Week Program

We raise our litters on a highly structured 10-week development schedule to maximize their potential before they transition to their new homes:

• Weeks 1–2 (Early Stimulation): We utilize Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and early scent introduction to kickstart immune health, cardiovascular strength, and stress tolerance.

• Weeks 3–5 (Exploration & Sound): Puppies are introduced to new surfaces, tactile textures, and controlled audio conditioning to eliminate environmental fears.

• Weeks 6–8 (Socialization Matrix): Focused socialization begins, exposing the litter to diverse environments, neutral strangers, and initial crate familiarity.

• Weeks 9–10 (Evaluation & Placement): We perform comprehensive temperament and drive assessments. This allows us to perfectly match the right puppy’s energy and traits to the specific lifestyle of the buyer.

How Our Application Process Works

Because we treat our dogs like family, we are highly selective about where they go. Our process ensures a perfect fit for both the puppy and your household:

1. Submit an Application: All prospective buyers must complete our formal questionnaire detailing their dog experience, home environment, and goals (companion, sport, or working).

2. Interview & Review: We review applications thoroughly and connect with you to discuss expectations, temperament preferences, and upcoming litter matching.

3. Deposit & Reservation: Once approved, a deposit secures your placement on our official reservation list for a specific pairing.

4. Gotcha Day: At 10 weeks, approved homes receive their completely vetted, microchipped, and structurally evaluated puppy, along with a comprehensive take-home binder and lifetime breeder support.
